Find (Selection)
What deserves to be owned?
Every trading day, we score more than 6,600 U.S. stocks against two independent sets of factors.
Quality (our Research engine) looks at the durability of a business across five independent pillars: valuation, profitability, cash generation, financial strength, and capital discipline — the kind of quality Warren Buffett calls a “moat.” This is our systematic core.
Growth (our Discovery engine) looks for acceleration: businesses whose fundamentals, momentum, and market confirmation are turning upward together — often before that shift is broadly recognized. This is a faster-moving, higher-conviction satellite opportunity, not a substitute for quality.
The two rarely agree on the same names, and that's intentional — they're designed to find different kinds of opportunity, not to duplicate each other.
What this stage does not do
Decide whether a stock belongs in your portfolio today, or whether now is a good time to buy it. That's the rest of the process.
Decide (Portfolio Management)
Given what you already hold, should anything change?
A high-ranking stock isn't automatically worth buying, and a stock that's fallen a few ranks isn't automatically worth selling. This stage asks a different, harder question: does a real, meaningful change to your actual portfolio improve your expected outcome — once cost, risk, and complexity are accounted for?
Most of the time, the honest answer is no. A holding earns the benefit of the doubt unless a genuinely better opportunity clears a meaningful bar, or its own investment case has clearly deteriorated. Small, marginal differences in rank are not enough on their own — they're noise a disciplined process is built to ignore.
What this stage does not do
Consider what time of day, or what today's price action, might make a good moment to act. It decides whether and what — never when.
Time (Execution Timing)
If something should change, is today the right moment?
Even a genuinely good investment can have a bad entry day. This stage looks at price and volume behavior — trend, momentum, recent volatility — to judge whether now is a favorable moment to act on a decision that Stage 2 has already made.
It has no opinion on whether a company is a good business. It only asks whether today looks like a reasonable moment to act.
What this stage does not do
Decide whether something is worth owning, or override a decision Stage 2 has already made. It can only affect when — never whether or what.
Act (Subscriber Action)
What should you actually do?
Everything above resolves into one clear instruction — never a spreadsheet of scores to interpret yourself. On most days, that instruction is simply: no action needed. When a change is warranted, you'll see exactly what changed, why, and what to do about it.
